Girls bedroom makeover on a budget….
This morning I sat down in Miss Frugal's bedroom and realised just how much 'stuff' she had and how little space she had to store it all!So while Mr Frugal was snoring away in bed, I was on the iPad trying to find the answer to our problems!By the time he woke up, I was all sorted and ready to get on with it! I found some great shelves in Ikea but didn't fancy the hour's drive each way to get them so I ended up getting two cheap cube-style units from Argos to stick on top of each other next to her desk. Where I live – Indoors….
I love where my house but I've been thinking for a while that it's in need of a style makeover due to the builders love of magnolia and my lack of decorating since we moved in. Budget Bathroom Makeover….
None of the rooms in my house need a major makeover as it's only a few years old but what it does need is an injection of colour!When we bought the house it was new and almost completely magnolia - which we weren't keen on but because there was nothing that actually needed doing, we just never got around to doing until the last year or so. On Saturday we've lived in our house for four years and although I'm gradually starting to get sorted, it's still very magnolia. I have no idea where the time has gone but I'm determined not to start another new year with decorate the house being one of my New Year Resolutions!The children's bedrooms were the first rooms we decorated when we moved in as we wanted them to be comfortable in their new bedrooms. Scandal at the Boot Sale….
I love having a wander around the car boot sale on a Sunday afternoon but yesterday I was quite shocked by something that I saw, perhaps naively so. I was stood at a stall with Miss Frugal when someone pointed out to the stallholder that a lady was filling a carrier bag with items off the bonnet of her car. The stallholder shouted at the lady who was moving away at this point and ended up running after her and grabbing the lady's bags off her.
