None of the rooms in my house need a major makeover as it’s only a few years old but what it does need is an injection of colour!
When we bought the house it was new and almost completely magnolia – which we weren’t keen on but because there was nothing that actually needed doing, we just never got around to doing until the last year or so. It’s slow going though as its hard to spend money on something that’s OK as it is just because you think it’s boring!
So when I was asked to by Money Supermarket to makeover a room in our house for £50.00 (which they provided), I jumped at the chance and knew straight away that I was going to concentrate on the family bathroom.
As you can see, it’s not awful – just boring and a bit cluttered. So a quick trip to the shop later and £50 later, this is what it looks like….
We didn’t do anything major but we did buy some lovely accessories to cheer the room up and I’m really pleased with the way it looks now. All the things I bought are on my Bathroom Makeover Pinterest board if you want to have a look at where I got anything from.
I’m going to enter this into the MoneySupermarket.com competition although I’ve seen some of the other entries and they’re excellent so I won’t hold out much hope of winning but I do hope I’ve shown that you can make a difference to a room without much effort on your part and without spending a fortune….;-)

Great work. It is amazing the impact that installing new shower screens can make. With so many choices it can be hard to settle on a style. Choose shower screens that are manufactured from high-quality glass to ensure that they not only look great but are durable.
The changes look good. However, you need a further enhancement with a shower panel system or something similar, allowing you to take a quick bath.
Whoa! that was a lovely makeover. Making it pink all over the bathroom looks fabulous kids would love that.
It looks great – I wouldn't have thought of using pink, but it really makes the room pop.
It definitely does, I'm really pleased with it.
Thanks very much x
ooooh i would never think to add pink to a bathroom but its a great warming colour and really brightens your bathroom up x
It really is a good colour – lovely and fresh! x x
oooh it looks great. It's amazing what a difference some accessories make. x
It's ridiculous how long it's taken me to cheer the room up considering how quick it was to do and how I only had to add a couple of things to make a difference x
It just goes to show how accessories can transform a room doesn't it? Looks great – the pink really stands out x
I just fancied something a bit different – I really like it.
Really pretty, I have enjoyed this challenge as it is a great way to peek in everyones rooms!
That's why I've enjoyed it Emma – I love a good nosey x
Love it. Our bathroom is pink. It's perfect for all the girls 🙂
Ha ha my hubby says he'll stick to the en suite from now on as it's too pink for him. Fine by me lol
It looks really gorgeous. I love hot pink in a bathroom, it really injects life into a room. We have it in our shower room.
