Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey!1) I forgot to share this last week so I'm going to pretend it was this week... 😁It was Miss Frugal's Birthday last week and even though she's older now, I still like to make a bit of a fuss. (who can believe that she's actually 23!!!) I bought some cupcakes in place of a full cake as I saw some amazing ones at the Farmers … [Read more...]

Save money by changing your washing machine habits….
With the rising costs of electricity, I've been thinking about the different ways that we could all save a little bit of money. One of the areas that we can probably save some money would be by making a few small changes to the way that we do our washing and over the years, I think I've perfected my washing machine routine to use as little water and electricity as possible. Don't get me wrong, this isn't going to save you a fortune but when prices are as high as they are right now then every penny in your pocket is a bonus! Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey!1) The clear out continues here. 😁The latest thing to go is a Kurt Geiger bag that I bought a good few years ago. I don't think I paid very much for it as I am sure that I bought it pre-loved from a website called Vestiaire which is a site that sells second hand designer goods. A bit like a posh Vinted. I bought this one as I have … [Read more...]
How to cut your heating bill before Winter….
I've just had an email from our Energy supplier, e-on, letting us know that our energy bills are likely to go up over the next year due to the Ofgem price cap increasing from the 1st October. This is the estimated costs for the next year, compared to this year:It's not a huge increase to be fair but it just feels like another bill that's increasing! We were planning to switch to Octopus energy for this house when we move to our new house as that's who supplies my old house (where a now 20 year old Master Frugal lives) as I've been really impressed with them since they took … [Read more...]
