Last week saw Miss Frugal leave the Primary school she’s been at since nursery and say goodbye to the children she’s grown up with.
In September she starts a whole new chapter at a new school without the friends she knows so well but we’re not thinking about that just yet.
During her leavers assembly she was presented with an award for excellent academic achievement following the four level 5’s she got on her SATs tests and she was also given a record of achievement of her time at the school.
The record of achievement book actually made me more emotional than any part of her leaving school and trust me, there’s been lots of emotion in this last couple of weeks. The book features a couple of pieces of work of hers from every year she’s been at school along with lots of certificates and special awards she’s been given during her time there.

Such a simple idea, but a beautiful and very special way to remember her years at Primary school!

What a lovely thing to do. I get all emotional just looking at my daughter's learning journal from the last year, so I dread to think what I'd be like if presented with something like this!
Oh now the fun starts! So far my eldest hasn't been that bad since he started secondary school.I hope she makes lots of friends in Spetember.
Ooh I went through this last year when middle boy left primary, it is soooo emotional isn't it! Hope she settles in well in September x
She's grown up so much, how emotional for you all and how exciting the next part of her journey will be x
What a wonderful idea, I love that they get a reminder of their time in the school with a little something from each year.
So so sweet… Good luck to her in September. I went to a school separate from all of my friends too after primary school. It didn't take long to meet a whole new set of friends! 🙂
You will smile when you see my post today! I found my son's leavers day really hard and cried a lot. It really is the end of an era isn't it? I love the book idea, what a lovely thing to look back on
