Over the past year or so, I've been experimenting more and more with homemade cleaning products and on the whole, I've loved most things that I've tried - after a lot of tweaks in some cases. There's been a few that I haven't shared because they just weren't that good and a few that are still works in progress but now that I've got quite a little collection of them, I thought I'd put them all in one place so you can browse them all at once.Don’t miss out on future posts like this - receive updates directly to your inbox by email by adding your email address here and hitting … [Read more...]

Homemade cleaning spray….
How to make Homemade Cleaning Spray I'm THAT parent who gives their children daily jobs to do around the house and refuses to let them on any electronics until the jobs are done - a fact which doesn't always go down with my two if I'm honest as I know that a lo of their friends don't have to do much at all around the house. One job that they both love doing (I say love, I mean that they hate it less than their other jobs ;-)) is polishing and I have Master Frugal polish the living room sideboard and everything on it every day whilst Miss Frugal has to polish our wooden table every day and … [Read more...]
Homemade Toilet Fizzers – the most fun you’ll have cleaning your toilet….
I first made homemade toilet fizzers last year when we had some mix leftover from our homemade bath bombs but I never shared them at the time as they were just a way of using up waste bath bomb mix and I wasn't sure how I'd get along with them but I love them and I've finally got around to making a second batch so I thought I'd share it with you....I love homemade cleaning products for most cleaning in my house - the exceptions are any surfaces where food is prepared or eaten and the toilets.I'm sure you get the first one but just in case, it's because I want to know that my … [Read more...]
Homemade Linen Spray – perfect for refreshing your sheets….
Homemade linen spray is my new favourite thing! Linen Spray isn't just for posh people. 😂It also doesn't have to cost £45 like the linen spray I spotted in Jo Malone recently! You can make your own homemade linen spray for a fraction of the cost of the sop bought brands and then you too can have posh person bedding without having to shell out the big bucks. In all seriousness, homemade linen spray is literally just a mixture of water, witch hazel and your favourite essential oils! You literally pop all the ingredients in a bottle and shake them up and … [Read more...]
Homemade Febreze for under 20p a bottle….
I've been making homemade Febreze for years now and often share in my weekly Five Frugal Things posts when I've made up a new batch but today, I'm going to update and reshare the original post when I told you about it for a couple of reasons. Let me tell you why...The first reason is simply that I treated myself to a new spray bottle as the one I used to use was looking more than a bit grubby and I just wanted to show off the prettiness of it although it's shiny white with shiny rose gold lettering on it so definitely doesn't photo as well as I wanted it to. 😂. And … [Read more...]
Homemade DIY Exfoliating Salt Scrub….
I'm sharing my homemade DIY exfoliating salt scrub with you today and I think you're going to love it! I'm all about a good homemade sugar scrub usually but when I went to make a little batch over the weekend, I realised I didn't have much sugar in the house and I had to make a difficult choice between using the small amount of sugar we had in to make fruit cobbler or to make a sugar scrub. It was a hard decision to make as I do love a good sugar scrub but in the end, the cake won the battle and I ended up using the sugar for that. All wasn't lost though … [Read more...]
