I’m so tired right now but we’ve had a really good day at the car boot sale so I thought I’d just pop on and give you a quick update on how we got on today at the car boot sale.
We got up early and packed so much junk in the car that it looked like it was about to burst and headed off to the boot sale where we were lucky enough to get an undercover spot around the edge.
We never unpack straight away as I hate when the professional sellers come sniffing round and actually root through your bags so we had some yummy dinky donuts and chilled out for half an hour before unpacking everything and *trying* to make our stall look nice:
(the prams are on the stall next door)
We then had an hours wait until the gates opened to the public and in that time Miss Frugal made £3.00 and spent £2.50 and Master Frugal made £4.00 and spent £1.30!
By the time people started to come in they were sat under the table reading their new copy of the Guinness Book of Records playing with their new Moshi Monsters, cleverly leaving me to deal with the crowds 😉
We actually had quite a fun afternoon and in the end, I made £63.00 and their share was £13.00 each so in total we made £89.00 which isn’t bad for an afternoon’s work – especially considering it’s helped my de-clutter of the house massively!

Well done, you are much braver than I am! I did a boot sale once with my parents when my Grandma was downsizing and I hated it, she had a lot of smaller antique bits and the dealers were all over them, we couldn't keep track of who was grabbing what. I often think it would be a good idea though, especially as the children are starting to grow out of their toys.
Toys sell so well – definitely try it before the weather turns x
