As the title suggests, I have a dilemma and need your help.
I’m generally not a person who cares about household objects but I love, love, love my Smeg fridge. I’ve always wanted one and I bought a second hand one off someone at work last year for £150.00 – an absolute bargain considering they cost over £1000.00 when they’re new.

Look at it, it’s beautiful. It’s a lovely mint green colour that matches my kitchen lovely and I love it (have you noticed how many times I’ve said that?)
BUT, lately it’s developed a few ‘little’ issues. My mother in law snapped the door off the ice box when she was trying to figure out how to open it (thanks for that) and the seal on the door is loose so it has a habit of opening if you sneeze anywhere near it!
I have no clue about the seal but I have looked at buying a replacement door and it works out about £130.00!!!! Which means, seeing as we have a fully working fridge freezer as well and could really manage without the Smeg, fixing it is not an option at the moment.
I’m happy to overlook the little faults but Mr Frugal thinks that we should get rid of it and just use our old fridge freezer again, hence, the dilemma!
So come on, would you keep the Smeg or would you let Mr Frugal have his way….
(*crosses fingers*…. please be on my side, please be on my side)

Article Source: a viral game app is not that much difficult.
At present, you have the opportunity not only to communicate but also
to have fun in social networks. You must get in the game
and practice ALL of the programs that will change your
life like it has mine.
This is why Facebook games are becoming more popular.
That is particularly true if they begin to beat such games.
frame pieces, hardware pieces, backboard pieces,
scorekeeper pieces, etc.
Keep the SMEG, there are not enough beautiful things in the kitchen! Could you sell your old one to pay for the reparis to the SMEG?
Lol I'm so glad everyone's on my side – I was wavering a bit but now I'm determined to keep it!
I would say you should keep the smug…it so beautiful…
Go for the seal. No need of new one. Most of the people here agree on that
Good post. I study one thing tougher on different blogs everyday. It’s going to at all times be stimulating to read content material from other writers and follow a little bit something from their store. I’d favor to make use of some with the content material on my blog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a hyperlink in your web blog. Thanks for sharing.
I gotta say “keep the SMEG” too. You can find a frugal way to fix the seals and the icebox door.
LOL!!!
Oops apologies for the double posting .
If its defunct as a fridge , could you not keep it and use it as a larder cupboard?
Zoe.
If its defunct as a fridge , could you keep it and use it as a larder cupboard ? Must admit I'm incredibly jealous , I've always wanted a red SMEG , one day *sigh*.

Totally agree! I bought a red SMEG fridge off ebay about 8 years ago-It was the first thing I bought when I got my own house-I love it sooooo much. The icebox handle has since broken off and the seal has split but I will never ever replace it! (unless I'm ever in a position to afford a new smeg fridge I guess!) (which will be never!)

lol I'm so pleased it's not just me….
I am def going to keep it now and just see about getting a new seal BUT…. If he ever decides to assert his manliness and make me get rid of it I know who to send it to 😉
Oh I didn't know that, I think it is but I'm off to check now x x
*runs off to contact Smeg* I have definitely decided to keep it.
I'm going to show him all these comments and tell him that the majority rules lol
Thanks very much, it is really unusual isn't it.
THey make them in other colours and do al sorts of designs – they even have a union jack version!
Lol I'm so glad everyone's on my side – I was wavering a bit but now I'm determined to keep it!
Ooooh that's a good idea. I never thought of that!
Yeay another vote for me – can't wait to show him all these comments 😉
Yeay another one for me – I'm going to look into getting it fixed I think. I might tell him I'll sell some of his computer games to pay for it lol
I am def going to keep it now – he can't argue with all of you ladies can he?
That is not a fridge, it's a frickin work of art! You cannot get rid of it! I am sick with jealousy. Sorry Mr Frugal, you are in fact, wrong.
PS I don't mind a dodgy seal, if you do get rid of it, let me know 🙂
Check that it's sitting on a level surface as that can affect the seal Cass. And KEEP THE FRIDGE ! S x
I reckon keep it and just replace the seal! They would be fools as a company not to supply them, so I reckon they must be out there.
It's a piece of art – pleeeaaase keep it LOL x
You can buy just the seals, contact Smeg and they will send you the details. We had them where I worked!! KEEP IT
KEEP and use cellotape on the seal if you have to!! Jen
Keep it! It is so pretty, I have never seen a green fridge before!

There are some things that are not just about the money. It can sound a bit shallow, but there are some things that have made me much happier than they should have (like my Louis Vuittton purse. Extremely, ridiculously, unjustifiably expensive, but beautifully made and makes me smile every time I see it.). For you its your fridge. You love this one. If you dont keep it, the old one will be a constant reminder of the one you loved. I am all for getting a bargain, but remember the old adage, buy cheap buy twice. I vote you keep the Smeg!
Keep the SMEG! You can always put a childproof lock thing on it so it doesn't start opening of its own accord! You can't get rid of something as iconic as that!
I am good at frugal too but I would definitely keep the fridge. It's gorgeous.
Would it be possible to simply get the door resealed? You so have to keep that! Its gorgeous! If its only the door thats an issue why get rid? Use it! 😀 xx
Yeay – one vote for me(and if you ever get sick of your purse, I'll be happy to releive you of it!
