I blogged about my unsuccesful Yorkshire Puddings a while back (here) and I thought I would share today’s attempt with you as Miss Frugal decided to try her hand at making them this afternoon.
We used the same recipe as always, which is 100g plain flour, 2 eggs and half a pint of milk but I think Miss Frugal has the magic touch because she managed to make these beauties:
I think she’s the next Nigella 😉

Yes! you are the next Nigella 🙂
This is really delicious. I can't wait to eat that..
Perfect! Thanks so much :O)
She is definitely better at making them than me – I think I'm going to delegate this job in future 😉
She's done a fab job!!
I have this "recipe" here
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=99438&id;=717816439&l;=384e5e44cc
on my FB page (which is the same as jordiegirl – no measuring) – you should be able to access it through that link – it's foolproof and even my friend in South Africa, who is a self confessed failure in the kitchen, has tried it my way and it worked like a dream 😀
Yes, Miss Frugal certainly has the magic touch.
I don't measure any of my ingredients, mine are always made 'by eye' as it were or 'guesswork' some may like to call it. That's the way my mam made them and if it was good enough for her then it's good enough for me. I think I have only once made Yorkshire puddings that I wasn't happy with and I've been married 21 years plus but was making them way before that.
Now suet dumplings, that's a different matter, they never seem to come out the same as mam's did and I make them as per the Bero recipe book!!!!
Can't win can we?
Keep training that maid!!!! as we'm say in Cornwall! proper job!!!!
Oh, my goodness, smother one of those with gravy and I would be in heaven!
Bravo Mini-Miss Nigella!
We always leave the yorkshire to Maxi, he knows the receipe better than I do!!
They look very tasty, unfortunatly mine come out of the freezer…lol Sue x
they look fab,
we use 4oz milk (sorry can't do grams), half pint milk and 1 egg.
