If you’re struggling for an idea for a present for the chocolate lover in your life you could always try making them your own homemade sweet hamper. We make one every year for Mr Frugal and it’s not only excellent value if you compare ours to the ones you can buy in the shops, it also means that you can pick and choose the chocolates and sweets that you put in it.
We’ve been stashing the chocolate away for the last month or so whenever we’ve seen a bargain – I think the above little lot cost less than £6.00 and we have extra left from some of the multipacks to eat as a reward for making the hamper 😉
Now if only someone would make me one of these!

This is a great idea- I did a whole gift hamper – with socks, boxers, t-shirts etc – all the usual stuff I buy hubby that he doesn't want – stuck some sweets in, a computer game, made it into a hamper and voila 🙂

I would love to receive one of these! Great idea to keep an eye out in the weeks before Christmas, as the offers are always changing, and you could put one of these together for a very reasonable price.

Ooh what a great idea! Couldn't make it with my children though… no chocolate would make it into the box 😉

I always see beautiful haers like yours and wonder how on earth I would recreate it but yours looks quite easy for me to give a go. Too late for Christmas but maybe a sweet treat for Easter.

This is exactly what I've done for my my eldest – only with the addition of some alcohol , peanuts and savoury bits and itunes giftcards – works out so much more cost effective – and fun to receive knowing someone's hand picked the bits they love inside x
