I usually post my weekly meal plan over on Meal Planning Made Easy but today I thought I’d
bore you all share it over here with you all. We didn’t stick to our plan very well at all last week but I’m not overly bothered as we were all ill and we didn’t break the budget because we were all about dippy egg and soldiers or soup – the most adventurous we got was egg fried rice I think!
We’re all feeling lots better now but still a bit washed out and tired so this week, it’s comfort food all the way for us….
Tonight we’re having homemade corned beef and potato pie – I made some extra mash yesterday so I didn’t have to make more today and the pastry is from the freezer where it’s been since I bought it for 47p in the reduced section. #LazyOrClever
Some sort of beef stew – I say some sort as Mr Frugal will be responsible for putting everything in the slow cooker so it could all go very wrong. Last time I asked him to do this was to make chicken curry and he forgot to add the curry powder!
What’s a week of comfort food without macaroni cheese?
Thursday could be my favourite day of the week – mince and Yorkshire puds.
Slow cooker gammon with cajun sweet potatoes and roasties are on the menu for Friday.
Chicken and prawn curry is going to be tea on Saturday night and I’ve got some Naan breads in the freezer to go with it.
What’s your favourite comfort food?
