I love travelling and exploring new places with the kids and we try to get away as often as our budget allows us to which isn't nearly as often as we like if I'm honest! As I've said a few times, we're planning to spend more time travelling in the UK over the next few years rather than going abroad so when we were invited to visit Wales for a few days last month we jumped at the chance. There are so many beautiful areas in our country that we want to explore and although we'd never been to Wales before, it's somewhere that we've said lots of times that we'd like to visit.Miss … [Read more...]

A Classic Day out with the Family….
When I saw the Ugg Australia 'Classic Day Out' competition, I knew exactly what we would pick as a family as our favourite day out - a day at London Zoo!We love London Zoo, despite living at the opposite end of the country and I think we've been every year since we first visited about four years ago. We have a special reason to visit the zoo now as we adopted a monkey for Master Frugal last year for his Birthday so he likes to go along and make sure the keepers are doing a good job looking after his baby, Bounty. Last year when we were in the monkey section he found … [Read more...]
A Holiday Dilemma….
As a family, we love to travel (although Miss Frugal HATES going on planes) and we try to fit in as much as we can but we're obviously limited by budget and more recently, school holidays. In the not so distant future, we actually all have a week off together so we're going to try and plan a cheap Easter Break 2014 but we can't decided what we want to do. The year before last we went on two holidays abroad and if I'm honest, although we did have a brilliant time, the holidays for me were both slightly marred by the fact that I spent half of my time putting sun block on the kids because we all … [Read more...]

Review: Our afternoon at Cadbury World….
We've been trying to fit in a visit to Cadbury World in Birmingham for a while now but it wasn't until last week that we actually managed to get there and it was only in the car on the way there that I discovered that everyone had their own reasons for being excited about going. You see, I was looking forward to it just because I like to visit new and interesting places with the kids but Mr Frugal was only coming along because he'd heard there would be free chocolate and the kids just wanted to meet an Oompa Loompa ;-)We all enjoyed our visit but Miss Frugal in particular had a great … [Read more...]
