Blogging is brilliant – especially on days when my postman delivers a giant hamper of wine and Ferrero Rocher chocolates….
The idea was to match the different wines with the different types of Ferrero Rocher chocolates with the different wines we were sent by having a bit of a tasting party with friends.
Being greedy, we decided to have two tasting parties – the first one was a brilliant night with Jen and her lovely husband which you can read all about here. We had fun matching the wines with the chocolates and it made a nice change from our usual weekly chaotic (but fun) tea with all the kids.
The second night was a poker night with some other great friends. We don’t actually know how to play poker but we’re kind of learning to figure it out and it’s fun to learn. We don’t bet real money obviously but
We had lots of laughs, ate lots of chocolate and drank lots of wine but to be honest there wasn’t much in the way of matching wine with chocolates so it’s a good job I did that with Jen the week before.
Wine and chocolates don’t make a good night – it’s good friends that make that – but they certainly help make a good night into a great night
