As you’ve probably gathered, I take a lot of photo’s. A LOT.
To me, photos are like little mini memories – I just have to look at one I’ve taken and I can remember where we were, what we were doing there and more importantly, how much fun we were having. I hope that one day in the future, the kids will look at them and remember what a fun childhood they had.
So you’d think that after I lost quite a few photos last year because my laptop died before I’d got round to transferring them to one of my many USB sticks.
But no, I clearly haven’t learned my lesson.
You see, a few weeks ago I was sent a Seagate Back Up Plus external hard drive and I set about the task of transferring all my photos from the laptop on to it. I had a ridiculous amount of photos on my laptop from about the last six months – thousands and thousands. I would have been devastated to lose them as we’ve done some amazing things in the last six months….
Just look at all the lovely memories I would have lost if something had happened!
I’ve now transferred all of my photos on to my smart little back up drive (which is a rather fetching blue colour) so I have everything in one place and I’ve plenty of space left on there for my next lot of photos!

My shiny new back up drive is 500GB but you can also get it in 750GB and 1TB versions if you need even more space…. You can download photos straight from Social Networking sites like Facebook on to it and easily upload photos and videos from it to your computer. Even more importantly, it looks really smart!
Thanks to Seagate for sending me the back up drive to test.
