We're loving Sunday's since we started Cupcake Sundays, although I can't say that they're doing my diet much good ;-) Today's cupcakes of the day are Lemon and Ginger Cupcakes and they're quite possibly my favourite ones so far!  They were inspired by a lovely lemon and ginger tea from Teapigs that I've been drinking this week. 150g butter 150g sugar 150g self raising flour 3 eggs 2 lemons 1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger Icing sugar 150g cream cheese To make 15 cupcakes: Cream the sugar with the butter. September is never a great month here - we go from the long lazy days of the Summer Holidays back to getting up early and having to settle back in to the school routine.  Add to that the fact that the kids get tired and crabby while they're settling back in at school.  Oh, and don't forget the obligatory cough/cold/flu/stomach upset that most children are likely to pick up in the first few weeks back. What would you do if you saw a sign on some steps outside the very posh British Museum telling you not to sit on the steps? Obviously, you would all force your rather unwilling child to come and sit down on the steps right next to the sign telling you not to sit down on the steps wouldn't you?  Or is that just me? Warning - Shouty, whingey alert! If your child comes home with an invite to a party (assuming they haven't lost it in the deep dark depths of their book bags), what do you do? Me, because I like to think I'm a nice, courteous kind of person, I reply to say 'yes thanks we'd love to come' or 'no thank you, we can't make it'.  I would then add it in to my phone as a reminder because I do have a history of forgetting parties until about five minutes before!
