How would you like to win a new mobile phone?
In conjuction with Tesco Mobile, we’re giving you the opportunity to do just that. And it’s not just any mobile phone – it’s the LG Optimus 3D phone which retails at £420 SIM free.
According to the blurb, the LG Optimus 3D is the worlds first mobile phone to feature dual core, dual channel and dual memory technology. And if you’re a fan of using your phone for photos and videos, you can use this one to shoot, show and share them using the latest 3D High Definition Technology. This HTC mobile also comes installed with the latest Android 2.2 technology.
Even someone as technically challenged as me gets that this is a great phone
And it’s not even hard to enter either…. All you have to do to is leave a comment below telling me what moneysaving resolution you’ve made for this year. How easy is that?
That’s all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic phone, but…. because it’s such a great prize, there are some ways you can get an extra entry if you want to.
There’s one bonus entry if you tweet ‘I want to win with Tesco Mobile and @frugalfamily – http://bit.ly/wZw9iG’ and another bonus entry if you subscribe to this blog using the
symbol rather that the Google Friends Connect Widget as that’s shortly going to be withdrawn.
Please don’t forget to leave your contact details in your comment and to leave an extra comment for each bonus entry.
The competition will close on 21 January 2012 and the winner wil be notified shortly after.
Good Luck

my moneysaving tip is to cook from scratch in bulk and freeze, fill your freezer up
Stop sky

my moneysaving resolution is to keep keeping the unstamped stamps, recycling jiffy bags —cut down on my postage costs!
Always check the price of everything to make sure it is the best price

I've tweeted the comp @7hippopotamus
I'm walking instead of using the car whenever I can, it's better for me (no gym membership needed) and saves petrol money.
My New Years resolution to save some money is to put a jumper on instead of the heating during these cold months. Not only will my electricity bill be less but I will also reduce my carbon footprint!

Have the best bank account, credit card, and shop smart!
Going shopping with a list and sticking to it and not being tempted with the various offers that you really do not need!
Continue with packed lunces, keep trying supermarket own brands/value (we have done quite a few of these and most are quite edible or perform as well), walk for shorter journeys, the thing that both I and my wife are still not very good at is 'spur of the moment' purchases – so, the main resolution will be to cut back on those.
my daughter has helped me add the orange rss button, and will hopefully help me with the phone if i win. she always complains that i never pick up my mobile as it is! thankyou.
Just to be generally more aware – walk if pos, put the washer to come on in Economy 7 times, continue to growl at the family for leaving lights on and doors open – we don't do bad these days and certainly don't fritter as much as we did (getting made redundant sorted that out!), though we still have room for improvement.
im 72, so i will use my free bus pass for as many journeys as i can, instead of driving. it is also good for my mobility, and my wifes.
I have recently moved into a new flat with my boyfriend. This is the first time I have lived away from my parents house and have become responsible for paying bills. Therefore, my 'frugal' New Years money saving resolution is to use as little energy inside the flat as possible to ensure my bills are the lowest possible.
I have been turning all the lights off after leaving a room, using blankets instead of central heating and not watching TV to save electricity. Lets hope all these efforts work!
my money saving for 2012,is mainly turning off left on lights, heating down a degree, walk more and use car less, all basic things but hopefully make a difference.
I have this year decided to do my weekly shop based on the offers shop online so its easy enough to click offers and try and base my meals around the half price products or bogof products, i save lots shopping this way and find you can always create sufficient healthy meals this way as there is always lots of fruit and veg included and the bogof offers are great as it means one less thing to purchase for the week after too! Always looking for ways to save money! I bulk buy, blulk cook and buy most of our clothing in the sales, I even buy for christmas early in the 50% off and 75% off sales!xx
always have an aim to save money for and then thriftyness has a purpose and doesnt seem a chore

My resolution is to remember to use money off coupons before they expire!
My moneysaving resolution is to take home made lunches to work every day, rather than spending almost £6 a day on food and drinks – I've brought a big bottle of squash instead of buying drinks at £1.20 ish a day – this alone will save roughly £22 a month!
New money saving reolution for 2012- cut dishwasher tablets in half and use half at a time, those little things are expensive!

@star100x
I am aiming to walk as much as I can. I am walking distance of town but so often drive in as I have 2 little ones and end up with buying car parking tickets several times a week and also the petrol money.
have tweeted too!
I am only buying what i need in the weekly shop rather than filling the trolley and throwing food away through poor planning.

To go out shopping with an aim to purchase ingredients for actual recipes, not just random things that take my fancy. I quite often come back from shopping with loads of stuff but nothing to actually create a meal with there and then! And to try to not get tempted with the crisps and chocolate "extras"
I am shopping around at every renewal – car insurance is done, breakdown cover is next (due in a couple of weeks), and the biggy is the mortgage where the deal ends in April – eek!
My money saving relsolution for 2012 is to stop wasting electricity. My house looks like the Blackpool Illuminations at all times, even when we are all in just one room! Three weeks into the new year and my children are beginning to get into the habit of turning lights out yay
I'm hoping this makes a big difference to my sky high electricity bill.
use all the food in my fridge instead of leaving things half used and then throwing them away at a later date. working so far as not going shopping as often!!
My resolution is to use my electric bike more. I save on petrol and keep fit too.
my money saving resolution is to stop shopping in my local Spar!
Save my spare change in a large money pot and use it to fund a nice holiday in the winter.
to stop getting as many takeaways as last year and to have nights in instead of nights out!
we are going for a year without take aways, and saving all £1 and £2 coins

I resolved to keep a monthly spend sheet so I can keep track of everything we spend money on – so far so good! I've also been checking all the insurances etc and found I can save nearly £300 on my home insurance :O
My money saving resolution is to stop popping to the shops on the way home from school run every day unless I really need something
For New Year I will eat smart, drink smart, and most importantly THINK smart about saving money!!
