Welcome to the Britmums Carnival….

After the success of last week’s Thrifty Families Carnival, today I’m hosting the Britmums Carnival.  I must have signed up to host this about a year ago and only remembered it was my turn when someone sent me over their entry (note to self: need to get organised!).  There’s some brilliant posts for you to read, so grab yourself a cuppa, sit back, put your feet up and have a good read….

First up Hannah from Muddling Along Mummy asks us if she is the only anti-social media user.  I love the idea of her January Cull – I might do the same thing myself.

I love, love, love this idea from Emma at Mummy, Mummy, Mum.  I struggled with Master Frugal’s reading for what seemed like forever and even though he’s all caught up now, I still might try Reading Dinosaur Footprints to help him learn his weekly spellings in a more fun way.

If anyone has any advice on getting children to sleep, something I think we could all do with from time to time, pop over to The Mad House and share it with Jen on her post When your child just doesn’t want to go to sleep.
Jen’s second entry to the carnival is from her other blog, A Thrifty Mum and in My Winter Manifesto she shares her personal finance goals for this Winter.  There’s some great ideas that we could all adopt to save some money.

Another post from Emma, this time over at Science Sparks is How to get an egg yolk without cracking an egg.  I’m fascinated by this one.  This is definitely on my weekend to do list with the kids!

Maria from MsXpat has some great ideas for keeping fit on a budget – even I could do them ;-)

I was really interested to learn about Birth Boasting in Don’t Push it over at Stitches and Stretchmarks – I’ve never heard of it before tonight.

There’s some great ideas for things to do with the younger children over at Eco Thrifty Living in Practical activities to do with toddlers.

You’ll love reading about Ellen’s rediscovery of an old favourite in How Hairy McLairy came to the rescue in a bad case of transitionitis over at In a bun dance.

Jen shares her Mum’s pastry secrets with us over at Frugalicious and while you’re over there, have a look at my recipe for homemade fish pie – it’s delicious.

Sandy’s post over at Baby Baby is guaranteed to get you thinking – What’s the point of Social Media?

If one of your New Years resolutions was to make money from writing then don’t miss this post from Becky over at Family Budgeting.

And on a final note, Nicki from Curly and Candid is asking for some advice about, erm, ladies things in her post The Lady Garden.  Go see if you can help her out!

Actually, on a final final note, I forgot to include one from me!  I’d love your help with my Moshi Monsters parenting dilemma or how about I help you with my Top 5 tips for bloggers which was my entry for this weeks Listography.

I know I said that the last one was my last one but I have one extra entry for you ;-)  Maggy at Red Ted Art has a fab Chinese New Year Get Crafty for you all to have a look at and Get Crafty – I think we’ll be having a go at the egg carton dragon puppet this weekend!
