I have just made this choccy pudding for the kids for tea and they absolutely loved it. It only used ingredients that I had in so it was cheap too.
Ingredients:
4oz plain flour
5 level tbsp cocoa
2 level tsp baking powder
pinch salt
10oz soft light brown sugar
6 fl oz milk
2 tbsp veg oil
1 tsp vanilla
2 oz chopped walnuts, optional
Instructions:
Mix the flour, 2 tablespoons of the cocoa, the baking powder and the salt together and stir in 4oz of the sugar.
Pour in milk, oil and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the nuts if you are using them (It tastes gorgeous with or without).
Pour into an oven proof dish.
Mix the remaining sugar and cocoa together and sprinkle over the batter and pour 12 fl oz boiling water over the mixture.
Microwave on high for 12-14 mins or until top looks dry and sauce is just starting to bubble a bit. Its ready when it has separated into sponge on top and chocolate sauce underneath.
Eat and enjoy.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I have had this recipe for monthsbut never tried it before but I made it tonight while the kids were eating their tea and it went down really well.
